RRD Stand Up Eleven SUP board |
|
Tuesday, 16 June 2009 11:07 |
Roberto Ricci Designs (RRD) have released an SUP board called the Stand Up Eleven, which you will not be suprised to realise is 11 feet long ! I managed to take this board for a quick distance paddle at West Wittering last month. It is a very stable board, absolutely perfect for beginners to get to grips with paddling, and for them to take into the waves once they have mastered the paddling basics. It has a forgiving softskin deck, which feels good underfoot, and it has a 8.5 inch fin, which means it works well in the surf. |

Rail Runner Protective SUP Tape |
|
Tuesday, 07 April 2009 15:49 |
Claire Blacklock tries out the Rail Runner Tape that protects your stand up paddle board from getting dings in the rail.
Having a brand new board that looks so damn good, makes you a little more protective when it comes to how you treat it. Although I have a blade protector on my paddle the odd dint still gets through when your mind is elsewhere (like watching a seal eating a fish!!) |

The Blade Runner Paddle Protector |
|
Thursday, 26 February 2009 16:25 |
The Blade Runner paddle protector is a length of flexible extruded plastic that sits over the edge of your paddle and prevents it, in theory, from chipping the side of your board. I have used a paddle without a blade protector for a year now and the rails of my beloved GONG are starting to look a little battered. So when I bought my brand new board for the 2009 season I decided that I would put on a blade runner to protect it. |

The Werner Spanker Paddle Review |
|
Sunday, 15 February 2009 18:26 |
I have had this paddle for about 4 months now, and it has been tested in decent surf and on distance paddles. To set the scene I normally paddle with a Kialoa Shaka Puu. The guys from System X sent me the Werner Spanker (they are the UK distributors) so we could put it through its paces. |
