Which of these paddles?Hey Guys,
I'm just getting into SUP and will for a while mainly stick to flat water but eventually will get into small wave surfing probably. I'm 6'7", 220lb, fit. Which of these paddles would you pick? Werner Spanker - $400 http://www.wernerpaddles.com/paddles/st ... e/spanker/ Kialoa Shaka Pu'u - $430 http://www.kialoa.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=98 Quickblade Kanaha - $400 http://www.quickbladepaddles.com/catalo ... ucts_id=28 Sawyer Ellipse - $225 http://www.lakestanduppaddle.com/index. ... ddles.html Thanks!
Re: Which of these paddles?Hi, I've only used the Spanker and the Shaka Puu and both are great paddles. I prefer the Spanker as I like the dyhedral in the blade head whereas the Shaka Puu has a flat face blade. The Shaka does leave the water very smoothly and you'll feel it (also, the Kialoa paddles are works of art, superb finish to them).
The Quickblade is also meant to be an amazing paddle and if you went for any of these 3, you have yourself a very nice paddle and I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. Try to demo them and see which one suits you. Cheers Nick
Re: Which of these paddles? Thanks for the tips. I decided to go with the Werner Spanker which I was able to get for $330.
